miss you all! Prayer for Nov 7th march for liberation of North Korea.

I have been doing very well. It's getting cold here!
Lately- I have been involved with a North Korean ministry, teaching english to refugees, and working with an organization that helps refugees.
I am also trying to really strengthen my relationship with Christ and be a light, a witness, to others. I have visited many churches during my time here and recently went to a prayer meeting for all of the English speaking congregations in Seoul. It was a great time.
Nov 7th, there is a march for the Liberation of North Koreans in Seoul. Me and many others will be there.
Prayer requests:
- health: I'm very tired because of the change in season. To be healthy.
- church: to find a consistent body of Christ to be part of. I have visited many churches, including Berkland in Seoul. The church that I enjoyed the most was called The Vine in Yongin (포도나무교회 in 용인).
- witnessing: to my ETA friends and also to my family. Please pray for 재명 too.
- teaching: be a good teacher, and be a light to my co-workers.
- host family: it's hard to be in a family when they don't really strongly believe in God. I should be used to this, but sometime I get frustrated being with them. Please pray that I can be a light to them as well.
Love you, and miss you all, in Christ.

I can see you are struggling in some way to be a faithful Christian in your staying there.
That is a good sign of a mature Christian. I admire you.
We all miss you too.
David is doing great and also all youths are.
Pastor Abraham briefly told us about your recent Christian life and activities.
He said that you were doing very fine.
I'll keep your prayers that you requested and pray for you when I am in prayer.
I love you in Christ.
Please, keep in touch.

From Daniel Park

Daniel,
It's so good to hear from you!
I've read everyone of your prayer request and will pray for them, especially about your spiritual growth. It's surprising to hear that you are involved in a mission related to North Koreans in Seoul. Usually iit is in China near the border. A word of caution based on what I have been hearing about those so-called North-Korean related missions, make sure they genuine. It might be a good idea to discuss it with pastor Abraham Lee before getting further involved. It still wouldn't be late at all to get involved with them after talking to pastor Lee. In fact, talk to the pastor of Berkeland Church in Seoul about it and ask for his opinion. Often times, anything related to North Koreans is heavily related to politics and if that's the case, it is the last thing you want to be involved in because then it becomes much more complicated than you think and less genuine, much less. Daniel, please listen to people who care about you and more experienced in situations in Korea than you. Most of the time, it is not what it appears to be. Always compare yourself to a 12 year-old kid who thinks he knows what he is doing, when in fact, it is evident to you that he is clueless to what life is all about, just as a four year-old child trying to cross a business street with heavy, fast traffic without realizing how dangerous it is. That kid will never understand regardless how much you explain. The only he will get it is when he is old enough to understand the complexity of society and life in general. So, please check with pastor Lee and Berkland church staff before getting involved with the North Koreans in Seoul mission. If Berkland church is not ivolved in such mission, there is always a very good reason.
Besides that, please enjoy your stay. It will be an excellent experience for you. I am confident that you will turn into a very mature Christian by the time you return to the States. And remember, especially during time of temptation and hardship, that we are always praying for you.
p.s. Could you please give me the contact information of your homestay couple's son? Since they already showed interest in purchasing a pair of the video phones, I would like to help them get it right away. I am sure it will be somewhat helpful for you, too, to have another way to communicate with people in the States, especially audiovisually. Thank you for helping with our business also. Grace will be grateful, too.
