8 일하는 사람 중에 마음이 지혜로운 모든 사람이 열 폭 휘장으로 성막을 지었으니 곧 가늘게 꼰 베 실과 청색 자색 홍색 실로 그룹들을 무늬 놓아 짜서 지은 것이라
9 매 폭의 길이는 스물여덟 규빗, 너비는 네 규빗으로 각 폭의 장단을 같게 하여
10 그 다섯 폭을 서로 연결하며 또 그 다섯 폭을 서로 연결하고
11 연결할 끝폭 가에 청색 1)고를 만들며 다른 연결할 끝폭 가에도 1)고를 만들되
12 그 연결할 한 폭에 고리 쉰 개를 달고 다른 연결할 한 폭의 가에도 고리 쉰 개를 달아 그 고들이 서로 대하게 하고
13 금 갈고리 쉰 개를 만들어 그 갈고리로 두 휘장을 연결하여 한 막을 이루었더라
14 그 성막을 덮는 막 곧 휘장을 염소 털로 만들되 열한 폭을 만들었으니
15 각 폭의 길이는 서른 규빗, 너비는 네 규빗으로 열한 폭의 장단을 같게 하여
16 그 휘장 다섯 폭을 서로 연결하며 또 여섯 폭을 서로 연결하고
17 휘장을 연결할 끝폭 가에 고리 쉰 개를 달며 다른 연결할 끝폭 가에도 고리 쉰 개를 달고
18 놋 갈고리 쉰 개를 만들어 그 휘장을 연결하여 한 막이 되게 하고
19 붉은 물 들인 숫양의 가죽으로 막의 덮개를 만들고 2)해달의 가죽으로 그 윗덮개를 만들었더라
20 그가 또 조각목으로 성막에 세울 널판들을 만들었으니
21 각 판의 길이는 열 규빗, 너비는 한 규빗 반이며
22 각 판에 두 촉이 있어 서로 연결하게 하였으니 성막의 모든 판이 그러하며
23 성막을 위하여 널판을 만들었으되 남으로는 남쪽에 널판이 스무 개라
24 그 스무 개 널판 밑에 은 받침 마흔 개를 만들었으되 곧 이 널판 밑에도 두 받침이 그 두 촉을 받게 하였고 저 널판 밑에도 두 받침이 그 두 촉을 받게 하였으며
25 성막 다른 쪽 곧 북쪽을 위하여도 널판 스무 개를 만들고
26 또 은 받침 마흔 개를 만들었으니 곧 이 판 밑에도 받침이 둘이요 저 판 밑에도 받침이 둘이며
27 장막 뒤 곧 서쪽을 위하여는 널판 여섯 개를 만들었고
28 장막 뒤 두 모퉁이 편을 위하여는 널판 두 개를 만들되
29 아래에서부터 위까지 각기 두 겹 두께로 하여 윗고리에 이르게 하고 두 모퉁이 쪽을 다 그리하며
30 그 널판은 여덟 개요 그 받침은 은 받침 열여섯 개라 각 널판 밑에 두 개씩이었더라
31 그가 또 조각목으로 띠를 만들었으니 곧 성막 이쪽 널판을 위하여 다섯 개요
32 성막 저쪽 널판을 위하여 다섯 개요 성막 뒤 곧 서쪽 널판을 위하여 다섯 개며
33 그 중간 띠를 만들되 널판 중간 이 끝에서 저 끝에 미치게 하였으며
34 그 널판들을 금으로 싸고 그 널판에 띠를 꿸 금 고리를 만들고 그 띠도 금으로 쌌더라
35 그가 또 청색 자색 홍색 실과 가늘게 꼰 베 실로 휘장을 짜고 그 위에 그룹들을 정교하게 수 놓고
36 조각목으로 네 기둥을 만들어 금으로 쌌으며 그 갈고리는 금으로 기둥의 네 받침은 은으로 부어 만들었으며
37 청색 자색 홍색 실과 가늘게 꼰 베 실로 수 놓아 장막 문을 위하여 휘장을 만들고
38 휘장 문의 기둥 다섯과 그 갈고리를 만들고 기둥 머리와 그 가름대를 금으로 쌌으며 그 다섯 받침은 놋이었더라
Building the Tabernacle
8 All the skilled craftsmen[c] among those doing the work made the tabernacle with 10 curtains. Bezalel made them of finely spun linen, as well as blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, with a design of cherubim worked into them. 9 The length of each curtain was 42 feet,[d] and the width of each curtain six feet;[e] all the curtains had the same measurements. 10 He joined five of the curtains to each other, and the other five curtains he joined to each other. 11 He made loops of blue yarn on the edge of the last curtain in the first set and did the same on the edge of the outermost curtain in the second set. 12 He made 50 loops on the one curtain and 50 loops on the edge of the curtain in the second set, so that the loops lined up with each other. 13 He also made 50 gold clasps and joined the curtains to each other, so that the tabernacle became a single unit.
14 He made curtains of goat hair for a tent over the tabernacle; he made 11 of them. 15 The length of each curtain was 45 feet,[f] and the width of each curtain six feet.[g] All 11 curtains had the same measurements. 16 He joined five of the curtains together, and the other six together. 17 He made 50 loops on the edge of the outermost curtain in the first set and 50 loops on the edge of the corresponding curtain in the second set. 18 He made 50 bronze clasps to join the tent together as a single unit. 19 He also made a covering for the tent from ram skins dyed red and a covering of manatee skins[h] on top of it.
20 He made upright planks[i] of acacia wood for the tabernacle. 21 The length of each plank was 15 feet,[j] and the width of each was 27 inches.[k] 22 There were two tenons connected to each other for each plank. He did the same for all the planks of the tabernacle. 23 He made planks for the tabernacle as follows: 20 for the south side, 24 and he made 40 silver bases to put under the 20 planks, two bases under the first plank for its two tenons, and two bases under each of the following planks for their two tenons; 25 for the second side of the tabernacle, the north side, he made 20 planks, 26 with their 40 silver bases, two bases under the first plank and two bases under each of the following ones; 27 and for the west side of the tabernacle he made six planks. 28 He also made two additional planks for the two back corners of the tabernacle. 29 They were paired at the bottom and joined together[l] at the[m] top in a single ring. This is what he did with both of them for the two corners. 30 So there were eight planks with their 16 silver bases, two bases under each one.
31 He made five crossbars of acacia wood for the planks on one side of the tabernacle, 32 five crossbars for the planks on the other side of the tabernacle, and five crossbars for those at the back of the tabernacle on the west. 33 He made the central crossbar run through the middle of the planks from one end to the other. 34 He overlaid them with gold and made their rings out of gold as holders for the crossbars. He also overlaid the crossbars with gold.
35 Then he made the veil with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely spun linen. He made it with a design of cherubim worked into it. 36 He made four posts of acacia wood for it and overlaid them with gold; their hooks were of gold. And he cast four silver bases for the posts.
37 He made a screen embroidered with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely spun linen for the entrance to the tent, 38 together with its five posts and their hooks. He overlaid the tops of the posts and their bands with gold, but their five bases were bronze.
