내가 … 터를 닦아 … 그러나 각각 어떻게 그 위에 세울까를 조심할지니라 - 고린도전서 3:10
우리 손자들은 레고 놀이를 좋아합니다. 여러 가지 색깔의 이 조그마한 조각들이 아이들의 상상력을 이끌어 내어 요새, 비행기, 집 등 설명서에 따라 무엇이든지 만들어 낼 수 있습니다.

상자속의 조각들을 모두 마루에 쏟아 놓은 후에 우리 손자들은 조각을 하나씩 맞추어 나갑니다. 그러나 얼마 후 그들은 더 이상 설명서를 따라 만들 필요가 없다고 생각합니다. 그런데 결국 자신들 생각대로 만들면 결과가 신통치 않다는 것을 알게 됩니다. 그래서 다 허물어 버리고 새로 시작합니다. 그러나 이번에는 설명서를 따라 만드는 것이 얼마나 중요한지를 알고 있습니다.

당신은 그동안 살아온 인생을 다 허물어 버리고 하나님의 지시대로 다시 시작할 필요가 있지는 않은지요? 만일 예수 그리스도가 당신 삶의 기초라면, 그의 삶의 청사진을 따라 시작하십시오. “그 기초에 각각 어떻게 세울까를 조심하라”(고전 3:10-11)라고 바울은 말하고 있습니다. 이 청사진은 어떤 것일까요? 다른 사람들을 나보다 낫게 여기고, 그들을 겸손히 섬기는 것이며(빌 2:3-4), 당신이 갖고 있는 것들을 다른 사람들의 필요를 위해 후하게 주며(약 2:14-17), 당신에게 잘못한 사람들에게 사랑을 보여주는(롬 12:14-21) 것입니다. 이러한 것들은 하나님께서 당신으로 하여금 하나님의 성전으로서 가치 있는 삶을 이루기 위해 짜맞추기를 원하시는 조각들 중 단지 일부입니다(고전 3:16).


주여, 주님이 베풀어 주신 은혜와 용서로 인하여,
저는 주님을 아는 가치 있는 삶을 살고 싶습니다.
주님께서 성경에 그려 놓으신 주님의 설계도에 따라 살도록
주여, 저를 도와주시옵소서. 아멘



성경은 그리스도인이 살아가야 할 삶의 청사진이다.

고린도전서 3:9-17

[9] 우리는 하나님의 동역자들이요 너희는 하나님의 밭이요 하나님의 집이니라
[10] 내게 주신 하나님의 은혜를 따라 내가 지혜로운 건축자와 같이 터를 닦아 두매 다른 이가 그 위에 세우나 그러나 각각 어떻게 그 위에 세우기를 조심할지니라
[11] 이 닦아 둔 것 외에 능히 다른 터를 닦아 둘 자가 없으니 이 터는 곧 예수 그리스도라
[12] 만일 누구든지 금이나 은이나 보석이나 나무나 풀이나 짚으로 이 터 위에 세우면
[13] 각각 공력이 나타날 터인데 그 날이 공력을 밝히리니 이는 불로 나타내고 그 불이 각 사람의 공력이 어떠한 것을 시험할 것임이니라
[14] 만일 누구든지 그 위에 세운 공력이 그대로 있으면 상을 받고
[15] 누구든지 공력이 불타면 해를 받으리니 그러나 자기는 구원을 얻되 불 가운데서 얻은 것 같으리라
[16] 너희가 하나님의 성전인 것과 하나님의 성령이 너희 안에 거하시는 것을 알지 못하느뇨
[17] 누구든지 하나님의 성전을 더럽히면 하나님이 그 사람을 멸하시리라 하나님의 성전은 거룩하니 너희도 그러하니라

BUILDING A LIFE THAT MATTERS [ 1 Corinthians 3:9 - 3:17 ] - hymn204

I have laid the foundation ... But let each one take heed how he builds on it. - 1 Corinthians 3:10
My grandkids love to play with Legos. These small colorful building blocks capture their imagination for building forts, planes, houses, or whatever the instructions may call for.

Emptying the contents of the box onto the floor, my grandchildren begin to put the pieces together. But soon they think they don’t need to consult the directions. This eventually leads to a point when they realize that building according to their own instincts has resulted in a bad outcome. So, they break it apart and start over again but this time they have a keen sense of how important the directions are.

Do you need the pieces of your life broken apart and put back together according to God’s directions? If you have Jesus Christ as your foundation, begin to follow His blueprint for living. Paul wrote, “Let each one take heed how he builds” on the foundation(1 Cor.3:10-11). What is the blueprint? Value others above yourself by humbly serving them (Phil.2:3-4), give generously of your resources to those in need(James 2:14-17), respond with love to those who have wronged you(Rom.12:14-21). These are just a few of the pieces that God wants you to put together to build a life that is worthy of being His temple(1 Cor.3:16). - Joe Stowell

shown me, Lord, I want to live a life that’s worthy of
knowing You. Help me to follow Your plans that
You’ve laid out in the scriptures. Amen.

[9] For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, you are God's building.
[10] According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it.
[11] For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
[12] Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,
[13] each one's work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one's work, of what sort it is.
[14] If anyone's work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.
[15] If anyone's work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.
[16] Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
[17] If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
