탈수 방지 [ 요한복음 7:37 - 7:39 ]
누구든지 목마르거든 내게로 와서 마시라 - 요한복음 7:37
지난 몇 년간 탈수 증상을 두어 차례 경험했는데, 정말이지 다시는 반복하고 싶지 않은 경험이었습니다. 한번은 크로스컨트리 스키를 하던 중 허벅지 근육을 다쳤을 때 일어났고, 다른 한번은 섭씨 46도까지 올라간 이스라엘 사막에서 일어났습니다. 두 경우 모두 현기증과 혼미함, 시각장애, 그리고 다른 여러 증상들을 겪었습니다. 물이 나의 안녕을 유지하는데 절대 필요한 것임을 힘들게 배웠던 것입니다.
이 탈수 증상 경험은 “누구든지 목마르거든 내게로 와서 마시라”(요 7:37)라는 예수님의 초대를 새롭게 음미하게 해줍니다. 주님의 이 말씀은 특히 그 말씀하신 시점이 아주 극적이었습니다. 요한은 그때가 유대인들이 광야에서의 방랑생활을 기념하기 위한 연례행사인 “명절”의 끝날 이라고 기록하였는데, 그날에는 성전계단에 물을 흘려보내는 의식을 통해 그 목마른 방랑자들을 위해 하나님께서 물을 공급해주신 것을 상기하도록 하는, 명절기간 중 최절정의 때였던 것입니다. 바로 그때에 예수님이 일어나셔서 주님이 바로 우리 모두에게 절대적으로 필요한 생수이심을 선포하신 것입니다.
예수님이 절실하게 필요한 삶, 즉 주님과 대화하며 주님의 지혜에 의지하는 삶이 우리의 영적 안녕에 필수적인 요소입니다. 그러므로 예수님과의 연결을 유지하십시오. 주님만이 여러분 영혼의 갈증을 해소시켜 줄 수 있습니다.
주님, 주님의 임재, 조언, 권고, 위로, 책망이라는 물을
마시지 않고도 살 수 있다고 생각한 저를 용서하소서.
주님이 참으로 제게 꼭 필요한 생수이심을
감사드립니다.
예수님께 와서
그분의 생수로 새 힘을 얻자.

[37] 명절 끝날 곧 큰 날에 예수께서 서서 외쳐 이르시되 누구든지 목마르거든 내게로 와서 마시라
[38] 나를 믿는 자는 성경에 이름과 같이 그 배에서 생수의 강이 흘러나오리라 하시니
[39] 이는 그를 믿는 자들이 받을 성령을 가리켜 말씀하신 것이라 (예수께서 아직 영광을 받지 않으셨으므로 성령이 아직 그들에게 계시지 아니하시더라)

Avoid Dehydration [ John 7:37 - 7:39 ] - hymn526
If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. — John 7:37
A couple of times in the past few years I’ve experienced dehydration and, believe me, it is not something I want to repeat. It happened once after I suffered a torn hamstring while cross-country skiing, and another time in the 115-degree heat of an Israeli desert. Both times I experienced dizziness, disorientation, loss of clear vision, and a host of other symptoms. I learned the hard way that water is vital to maintaining my well-being.
My experience with dehydration gives me a new appreciation for Jesus’ invitation: “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink”(John 7:37). His announcement was dramatic, particularly in terms of the timing. John notes that it was the last day of the “great feast”—the annual festival commemorating the wandering of the Jews in the wilderness—which climaxed with a ceremonial pouring of water down the temple steps to recall God’s provision of water for the thirsty wanderers. At that point, Jesus rose and proclaimed that He is the water we all desperately need.
Living like we really need Jesus—talking to Him and depending on His wisdom—is vital to our spiritual well-being. So, stay connected to Jesus, for He alone can satisfy your thirsty soul!
Dear Lord, forgive me for thinking that I can do lifewithout the water of Your presence, advice, counsel,comfort, and conviction. Thank You that You areindeed the living water that I so desperately need.
Come to Jesus for the refreshing power of His living water.
John 7:37-39
[37] On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.
[38] Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him."
[39] By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.
