사랑과 기도 [ 시편 92:1 - 92:15 ]
그는 늙어도 여전히 결실하며 진액이 풍족하고 빛이 청청하니 - 시편 92:14
유명한 동화책에서 곰돌이 푸우는 캉가가 뛰어가는 것을 보며, 나도 저렇게 점프를 할 수 있으면 좋겠다고 생각합니다. 어떤 사람은 할 수 있고 어떤 사람은 할 수 없습니다. 그것이 현실입니다.
우리보다 젊거나 더 능력 있는 사람들이 우리가 못하는 특별한 일을 하는 것을 볼 때가 있습니다. 그들은 할 수 있으나 우리는 할 수 없습니다. 그것이 현실입니다. 우리가 한때 할 수 있었던 일을 더 이상 할 수 없을 때 자신이 쓸모없다고 느끼기 쉽습니다.
예전처럼 “점프”는 할 수 없을지도 모릅니다. 그러나 우리는 사랑하고, 기도할 수 있습니다. 시간과 경험이 우리가 이들을 잘 할 수 있게 만들어준 것입니다.
사랑은 하나님과 다른 사람들에게 줄 수 있는 최고의 선물입니다. 하나님과 이웃을 향한 완전한 의무를 다하게 하는 수단이 되기에 사랑은 결코 작은 일이 아닙니다. 한 사람에 대한 사랑이 작게 보일지라도 그것은 모든 선물 중에서 가장 큰 것입니다(고전 13:13).
그리고 우리는 기도할 수 있습니다. 바울은 고린도교인들에게 “기도를 계속하고 기도에 감사함으로 깨어 있으라”(골 4:2)라고 권면하였습니다. 우리의 기도는 이 우주의 강력한 힘입니다!
사랑과 기도는 참으로 강력한 힘이 있으며, 누구에게든지 가장 강력하게 역사합니다. 왜일까요? 우리를 사용하기 원하시는 우리 하나님은 무한한 사랑과 능력의 하나님이시기 때문입니다.
하나님과 더불어 하루를 시작하라
무릎 꿇고 그분께 기도하라
하나님의 처소를 향해 마음을 열고
하나님의 사랑을 나누어주시기를 간구하라
하나님은 우리 마음에 사랑을 쏟아부으셔서
다른 사람들에게 흘러넘치게 하신다.
시편 92:1-15
[1] [안식일의 찬송 시] 지존자여 십현금과 비파와 수금으로 여호와께 감사하며
[2] 주의 이름을 찬양하고 아침마다 주의 인자하심을 알리며
[3] 밤마다 주의 성실하심을 베풂이 좋으니이다
[4] 여호와여 주께서 행하신 일로 나를 기쁘게 하셨으니 주의 손이 행하신 일로 말미암아 내가 높이 외치리이다
[5] 여호와여 주께서 행하신 일이 어찌 그리 크신지요 주의 생각이 매우 깊으시니이다
[6] 어리석은 자도 알지 못하며 무지한 자도 이를 깨닫지 못하나이다
[7] 악인들은 풀 같이 자라고 악을 행하는 자들은 다 흥왕할지라도 영원히 멸망하리이다
[8] 여호와여 주는 영원토록 지존하시니이다
[9] 여호와여 주의 원수들은 패망하리이다 정녕 주의 원수들은 패망하리니 죄악을 행하는 자들은 다 흩어지리이다
[10] 그러나 주께서 내 뿔을 들소의 뿔 같이 높이셨으며 내게 신선한 기름을 부으셨나이다
[11] 내 원수들이 보응 받는 것을 내 눈으로 보며 일어나 나를 치는 행악자들이 보응 받는 것을 내 귀로 들었도다
[12] 의인은 종려나무 같이 번성하며 레바논의 백향목 같이 성장하리로다
[13] 이는 여호와의 집에 심겼음이여 우리 하나님의 뜰 안에서 번성하리로다
[14] 그는 늙어도 여전히 결실하며 진액이 풍족하고 빛이 청청하니
[15] 여호와의 정직하심과 나의 바위 되심과 그에게는 불의가 없음이 선포되리로다

Love And Prayer [ Psalms 92:1 - 92:15 ]
They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing. — Psalm 92:14
In a popular children’s book, Winnie the Pooh watches Kanga bound away. I wish I could jump like that, he thinks. Some can and some can’t. That’s how it is.
We see younger or more able men and women doing extraordinary things that we cannot do. They can; we can’t. That’s how it is. It’s easy to feel useless when we can’t do the things we were once capable of doing.
It’s true that we may not be able to “jump” like we once did, but we can love and we can pray. These are the works that time and experience have prepared us to do well.
Love is the very best gift we have to give to God and to others. It is no small matter, for love is the means by which we fulfill our whole duty to God and our neighbor. Our love for one person may seem to be a small action, but love is the greatest gift of all(1 Cor.13:13).
And we can pray. Paul encouraged the Colossians to “continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving”(Col.4:2). Our prayers are a powerful force in the universe!
Love and prayer are mighty works indeed, the mightiest works for any of us. Why? Because our God, who wants to use us, is an all-loving and all-powerful God. — David Roper
Begin the day with God;
Kneel down to Him in prayer;
Lift up thy heart to His abode,
And seek His love to share. — Dann
God pours His love into our hearts
that it might flow out to others.
Psalm 92:1-15
[1] A psalm. A song. For the Sabbath day. It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High,
[2] to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night,
[3] to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp.
[4] For you make me glad by your deeds, O LORD; I sing for joy at the works of your hands.
[5] How great are your works, O LORD, how profound your thoughts!
[6] The senseless man does not know, fools do not understand,
[7] that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be forever destroyed.
[8] But you, O LORD, are exalted forever.
[9] For surely your enemies, O LORD, surely your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered.
[10] You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured upon me.
[11] My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes.
[12] The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;
[13] planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God.
[14] They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green,
[15] proclaiming, "The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him."
