Faith : Toby, my brother called again.

Toby : What's the emergency this time?

Faith : No emergency, but he wants us to go in with him on some kind of crazy Ponzi scheme he cooked up.

Toby : He came right out and said it's a Ponzi sheme?

Faith : Not in so many words, but it was pretty obvious by the way he described how the business works.

Toby : What'd you thell him?

Faith : I told him we didn't have any extra money for it. Gosh, I wish he'd stop alll these crazy things he does and grow up.

Toby : Well, as they say, you can pick your friends, but you can't pick your family.

Faith : Toby 내 남동생이 또 전화했어.

Toby : 이번엔 또 무슨 급한 일이래?

Faith : 급한 일이 아니라 피라미드 조직같은 이상한 걸 만들어 놓고 우리 보고 같이 하자네.

Toby : 직접 그렇게 말했어, 피라미드라고?

Faith : 자세히 설명은 안 했지만, 사업이 어떻게 운영되는지를 들어 보니 피라미드라는게 뻔하던데

Toby : 뭐라고 대답했어?

Faith : 여유 자금이 없다고 했지. 진짜, 동생이 이런 정신 나간 짓을 그만 하고 철 좀 들었으면 좋겠어

Toby : 음, 그런 말도 있잖아, 친구는 선택할 수 있지만 가족은 선택할 수 없다.

Yahoo. Microsoft ink web search agreement



Yahoo, and Microsoft announced that they have finalized the details of their planned Internet search and advertising partnership. The companies hope to implement the deal soon with the approval of anti-trust regulators. The two companies had originally planned to complete their agreement by October 2009 but extended talks "given the complex nature of the transaction." The plan to ink a 10-year Web search and advertising pact was unveiled in July 2009 and promises to set the stage for a Yahoo-Microsoft offensive against Google. But analysts are divided on how much it will actually deliver in making inroads against Google, the king of the lucrative search and advertising market.
