한반도 중심에 위치한 대전은 한국에서 다섯 번째로 큰 도시입니다. 대전은 충청남도의 도청 소재지입니다. 그리고 대전은 교통의 중심 교차점이기도 합니다. 남북으로 뻗은 고속도로 및 철로들이 대전을 중심으로 전국으로 뻗어나갑니다. 이 때문에 대전은 출퇴근하는 근로자들이 선호하는 지역이기도 합니다. KTX를 이용하면 대전은 서울에서 한 시간도 채 걸리지 않습니다. 대전은 과학과 기술 분야를 선도하는 도시입니다. 대전에는 엑스포 공원과 200개 이상의 연구 센터가 위치한 대덕 과학 단지도 있습니다. 그리고 아시아 최고의 과학 기술 교육 기관 중의 하나인 카이스트도 대전에 위치해 있습니다. 현재 급부상하고 있는 지역 중 하나가 바로 둔산입니다. 현재 둔산 곳곳에 신규 아파트, 지방 청부 청사, 식당가, 쇼핑 센터들이 들어서고 있습니다. 한편 대전에는 산, 사찰, 호수, 그리고 온천들도 제법 많이 있습니다.

Describe the City of Daejeon.



Daejeon is the fifth largest Korean city, located in the heart of the peninsula. It’s the provincial capital of South Chungcheong Province. It sits at the crossroads of some major transportation routes. It’s where the major north and south highways and railways branch out across the country. This makes it a very favorable spot for commuters. Taking the KTX, Daejeon is slightly less than an hour away from Seoul. Daejeon is one of the leading cities in science and technology. It is home to EXPO Park and Daedeok Science Town, which houses over 200 research centers. One of the best science and technology schools in Asia, KAIST, is also located in Daejeon. One particularly thriving area worth mentioning is Doonsan. Doonsan has been seeing new apartments, municipal buildings, eateries, and shopping places spring up everywhere. On the other hand, Daejeon also has its share of mountains, temples, lakes, and hot springs.
