A black Tibetan Mastiff, 31 inches high and answering to the name of “Yangtze River Number Two” is believed to have broken the world record as the most expensive dog after a Chinese woman paid $582,000 for the “priceless” canine. In keeping with its record-shattering status, the 18-month-old dog arrived at its new owner’s home in stupendously excessive style. A multimillion dollar collection of Andy Warhol portrains of Muhammad Ali and other sports superstars was stolen from a Los Angeles home, police said. The 11 color screen prints were taken from businessman Richard Weisman’s home. Ten of the 40-inch-square portraints feature famous athletes of the 1970s, including golfer Jack Nicklaus,soccer star Pele and figure skater Dorothy Hamill. A $1 million reward is being offered for information leading to the return of the artwork.
