Cat burglar



Toby : Faith, our neighbour got burglarized last night.
Faith : What?
Toby : I just got off the phone with him. A cat burglar visited them while they were sleeping.
Faith : What do you mean cat burglar?
Toby : The thief didn't break anything and also didn't set off their alarm system. The thief also managed to break into their downstairs safe in their office.
Faith : Oh, my gosh. How'd they get past the alarm?
Toby : The police think it was an employee fo the alarm company because the alarm was turned off somehow without any obvious tampering of the system. There's been a string of break-ins like this recently, they said, with homes protected by the same alarm company.
Faith : They must know an override code or something. I'm frightened, Toby. We use that alarm company, too!

Toby : Faith, 어젯밤에 우리 옆집에 도둑이 들었어.
Faith : 뭐?
Toby : 방금 전화했는데, 자고 있는 동안 고양이 도둑이 들었대.
Faith : 고양이 도둑이라니?

Toby : 보안 회사 직원 소행으로 경찰이 보고 있대, 보안 시스템이 손상되지 않고 그냥 꺼져 있었다는군. 그리고 같은 회사 보안 시스템이 장착된 집들에 요즘 계속 도둑이 들었다네.
Faith : 경보 취소 암호를 알고 있나 보네, 무섭다, Toby, 우리도 같은 회사 경보 시스템을 사용하잖아!

Mobile phone directory to launch in the UK



A company in the United Kingdom will begin offering a directory service that allows people to find the mobile phone numbers of other people. Anybody searching for a number can type the name and location of the person into the company's website, which has some 15 million numbers in its database. Privacy advocates have been angered by the system despite it getting the all-clear from the government's Information Commissioner's Office(ICO). The ICO ruled that the system did comply with current law and said that opting out of the service should be made easy for those not wanting their details to be used in the directory.

영국의 한 회사가 다른 사람의 휴대 전화 번호를 찾아볼수 있는 전화 번호부 서비스를 개시할 예정이다. 누구든지 찾고 싶은 사람의 이름과 위치를 이 회사 웹사이트에 입력만 하면 되는데 사이트에는 약 1,500만 개의 번호가 데이터베이스에 들어 있다고 한다. 이 시스템이 정부 기관인 정보위원회(ICO) 의 허가를 받았음에도 불구하고, 사생활 보호자들은 분노하고 있다. ICO는 이 시스템이 현행법을 준수하고 있다고 판결을 내리면서 자신의 정보가 전화 번호부에 실리는 것을 원치 않는 사람들은 쉽게 탈퇴할수 있도록 해야 한다고 말했다.
