- Car dealer offers second car for free
Buy one, get one free : it’s a familiar sales pitch for happy hour cocktails or last season’s fashions, but now a Belgian car dealer is luring customers with just that line, Customers can choose from a range of new, full-price cars – the cheapest being 22,800 euro(≒ $28,930) Hyundai van – and then pick a second free vehicle from a selection that goes up to 14,000 euros.

- Crisis forces Russians to cut back vodka
The global financial crisis has grown so bad that Russians are cutting back on vodka. Stockpiles of Russia’s national drink were six times higher at the start of the month than the same time a year ago because factories are producing vodka faster than they can sell it. Deaths from alcohol poisonings have increased, as some Russians turn to dangerous vodka substitutes as they try to find a cheaper way of becoming intoxicated.
